This project started when my brother sent me some of his music and asked me what colors described his song. I figured, why tell him when you can show him. 😊

Most songs are too big and fluid to be embodied within just one image, so I created a two-piece series to describe the song my brother titled Regular Song.

In the first piece, Regular Interpretation No. 1, I focused primarily on the song's mood, intent, and colors. In this piece, I wanted to illustrate the process of composing a song—particularly the initial phases when the song is still taking shape.

This is when the colorful sounds start to flow out of your instrument slowly. It's a little messy at first, but only until the sounds start to gain momentum. Then the music takes on a life of its own and becomes a full-fledged song! Like any creative venture, it is an exhilarating experience!

I used the image from Regular Interpretation No. 1 to create the second and final piece in this series. My brother isn't quite ready to share his music publicly. Still, I hope that thru this art, one can gain a sense of how awesome his song is!
